The DAN-TON Artistic Non-Profit Association was founded in 2001.
We can find performers, musicians, teachers, experts on public education and pensioners alike among its members.
Our primary objective is the popularization of live music for all age groups not only in Hungary but all over in Europe.
In the course of our activity we would like to provide an opportunity for anybody interested to present our folk music traditions, to get acquainted with the music of other nations, to search for and support talented young people.
Our association also pursues a charitable activity, since in May 2005, on Children’s Day we handed over an artificial respiration apparatus to the children’s emergency ward of Géza Hetényi County Hospital, the price of which was raised by means of our charitable initiative.
We would like to broaden the scope of our charitable activity in the circle of socially and mentally disadvantaged people, especially among the inmates of old people’s homes.
The dissemination of the knowledge of music forms an important part of our activity. During the summer holiday we organize folk music camps where the young people can get acquainted with various folk musical instruments, their preparation; and handicraft workshops also appear in the programme.
Our association undertakes upon request the provision of complete high-quality entertaining programmes with artists and contents in accordance with your wishes.
All kinds of assistance and ideas - even a common participation in competitions - are welcome, which help to promote our Association.
